High pressure instrumentation Quick Connects are available in three different body sizes – QC4, QC6 and QC8 – to accommodate a variety of system configurations. In a single-shutoff connector, the shutoff mechanism is activated on only one side of the connection. This design is ideal for applications where only one side of the system needs to be safely shut off in the event of an emergency or system interruption. Single-shutoff ensures that flow is automatically shut off, preventing the leakage of high-pressure fluids that could cause damage or pose a safety hazard. Double-shutoff connectors are equipped with a shutoff mechanism on both sides of the connection. This configuration provides an additional layer of safety, ensuring that both sides of the connection are sealed in the event of a system failure or pressure drop.
